![]() Pendleton Camp Success G.I.R.L.S. - July 14-18, 2008Tri-County Technical College, Pendleton, SC
View Camp Success G.I.R.L.S. images here. This session of Camp Success is designed to encourage middle school age girls to explore the field of engineering and technology. Fun and challenges will be interwoven throughout the week as campers explore concepts such as computer aided design, lean manufacturing, binary numbers, manufacturing concepts, roles of engineers and technicians, work cells, robotics and mechatronics. technology. The camp lasts one week — the adventure lasts a lifetime. Camp will be on the campus of Tri-County Technical College in Pendleton, SC from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM Monday through Thursday and 8:00 AM through 12:00 Noon on Friday, July 14-18. Lunch will be provided Monday through Thursday. Students will participate in fun,project-based learning activities and learn how these principles relate to careers in engineering and technology. There will be team building exercises, field trips to local manufacturing facilities, guest speakers, hands-on workshops and supervised lab time. Friday morning is celebration day for the campers, their families and guests. Campers will unveil their creations, make group presentations and be recognized for personal and team accomplishments.
