A-MAZE-ING Camp Success

June 23-27, 2008

In partnership with the Fresh Start Community Development Corporation, A-MAZE-ING Camp Success will give campers unprecedented access to professors, teachers and industry professionals.  Together they will learn engineering skills through Discovery Workshops, learning lab activities, community design projets and field trips to local companies and project sites. The camp lasts one week — the adventure lasts a lifetime.

Camp will be from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday, June 23-27.  Each day begins with fun, team-building activities plus a debriefing followed by an exciting and diverse schedule of Discovery Workshops, learning lab activities, community and field trips to local companies/project sites.  Campers will work in project teams to provide a solution to a community customer.  Fun and challenges will be interwoven throughout the week.

The cost to attend A-MAZE-ING Camp Success is $50.  A limited number of scholarships are available to students who would not otherwise be able to attend.

The application package must be postmarked by June 13, 2008. All applicants must complete the application package that includes the following:

• Camp Success Application Form (PDF=40K)
• Self Assessment Form (PDF=100K)
• 300-500 word essay
• Fee:  $50.00

Scholarships
Students who may need financial assistance to attend A-MAZE-ING Camp Success should attach a letter to the application, indicating the amount of need.  Proof of income for the current calendar year will be required to apply for a scholarship.
